Really DESPERATE to get NDK working in some architecture !
Hi, I am really getting to a point of DESPAIR, I cannot make any more Android Studio / NDK work in ANY way on any machine. It seems it "mysteriously stopped working" no matter what build.gradle I try to open/use would never compile a thing. Also tried to re-install EVERYTHING on Windows following all the steps I always get the same conclusion, "any time you try to compile you get some errors". I am TOTALLY DESPERATE, is anyone that managed to get this NDK working on windows, or anywhere, and compile some of the VRAPIs Samples and have it run on the Quest ? Any info/help you could give me would be appreciated ! As I side note I managed to make my Vulkan stuff work on Oculus Rift, but that's becuase "it all work in Visual Studio", I had not many problems at all there to copy/modify/add/compile/run stuff in there. I'll do one more try, I have an older laptop running Windows 8.1 .. maybe I'll be more lucky there ? I don't know at this point I'd just be happy to have SOMETHING that works/can push code in the Oculus Quest. Thanks in advance for any help.360Views0likes0CommentsWhat's the way to get in touch with some people here ?
Hi, I am cracking my head severly over deveping something for Oculus Quest using Vulkan, ok fine there is what there is, I get that. However I find "absurd" that I can not find ANY documentation about the Vulkan API/functions like "ovrVkContext_Create()", I mean sure there is some Vulkan API documentation somewhere ? Some PDFs ? Something ? Can't find it anywhere, where is it ? Is it possible to pass any message/get in touch with any of these persons in the list ? ( that appears are the ones that created the only document I can find ? ) I mean one of this people : "Remi Palandri, Kevin Xiao, Todd Keeler, Ross Ning" I only wish to know "is any reference document I am missing somewhere I can't find where to download it from ?" I have to say "I am a little bit disappointed at Oculus support", it used to be .. "better", I mean every now and then there were some replies, I am just asking "where are the documents" ( if there are any documents ) and if there are not "is any way to know a bit more about how to use that thing" ? There used to be some "documents" folder in the SDK download .. now there's nothing other than the samples. Thanking you in advance I hope to get some reply at some point I am feeling like "there's no help of any sort" at the moment. Cheers. Ivan Z.557Views0likes1Comment
