I recently moved and haven't been able to unlock my Quest 2 headset with the pattern, and it will not give an option to use my PIN.
I tried to factory reset, but the boot screen goes away and device restarts itself when I release the volume and power buttons. I cannot factory reset via mobile because the Oculus app asks me to enter my pattern but always says "Something went wrong. Please try again."
I don't know if my device was bumped during the move, but it is currently unusable.
Update: After talking with live support, we were able to factory reset my headset.
I'm having a problem where i cannot close Oculus apps, when i quit a game, it sits on the universal menu prior to the glitch. I've reported this problem several times to Meta and they have not responded. Should i perform a factory reset?
Hey @trustworthypigeon646! Thanks for reaching out. We completely understand how it feels to have problems using games and apps on your headset. Before performing a factory reset we usually want to try to power cycle the device and see if that resolves the issue.
In addition to power cycling are there any other troubleshooting steps you have already tried? Does this only happen with specific games and apps, or with all of them?
Once you have exhausted other troubleshooting steps then you can try a factory reset. Please check and make sure you have "Cloud Backup" enabled in the settings before performing the reset. Hope you're having a good day!
