Didn’t get the credit from Referral code

I purchased my quest 2 yesterday and before I set it up I used a friends referral and said it accepted. I made sure to sign up with the same account and after I set it up it never gave me the credit nor confirmed I actually set it up on his end. Does anyone know a solution?

Hey there! We see you have some concerns regarding the referral program. No worries, we're here to clear some things up for you. In order to properly participate in the referral program the referral must be accepted before activating the brand new headset. The account that you accept the referral with must not have been associated with a device before, and the device cannot have been activated before you purchased it.

I sent a referral code to a friend. They used the code and I was notified in my app that I'd be getting my store credit in 6 days but never received it. That was back in January.
