Extreme blur on just one lens?

Zaxora
Level 2

Good afternoon,

I recently started using my Quest 2 and noticed that my left lense's  "blur area" is way bigger than on the right side. There is a tiny sweet spot that has sharp vision, but it makes it borderline unusable since I notice it when having both eyes open (people with vision lenses in on one side know the feeling). I cleaned both lenses but that didn't do anything. It's hard to read text in games like Saints and Sinners and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or have a defect lens?

Hey there, Zaxora! We know that sometimes the display quality might not be exactly how you would like it, but we'd like to offer some advice that could help improve what you're seeing in VR! However, we'll need to ask for some more information about your situation, so that the guidance we provide is accurate and actually helpful.

Did you ever get a solution to the problem? My right lens is fully blurry while the left is crystal clear.

Heya @thatgothkat. We understand how having a blurry lens can be concerning. No need to worry, we'll do everything we can to fix this for you. With that being said, we do have a couple of troubleshooting shooting steps to try and fix this issue for you.

We'll like for you to enable Cloud Backup for us, and you can follow these steps to do that.

  1. Put on your headset, then hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
  2. Select  Settings.
  3. Select System, then select Backup.
  4. Select the toggle next to Cloud Backup to turn Cloud Backup on or off.

After that we'll like for you to do a factory reset.

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Now if that doesn't seem to do the trick, we'll like for you to go to our support website and create a ticket. There you'll get the chance to speak with one of our wonderful agents who'll be more than happy to look into what other options we have for you.
