Hello every1,
I'm kinda desperate with this situation.
Someone got into my instagram account and changed email and used 2FA. Furthermore, he unlinked the IG from my FB and linked his META on it.
I got my account back, through, 2 of my friends just for an hour or so. Let's start again...
The real problem is that the IG help center leads to an endless loop (turning me back to itself) no matter what I do (both from phone or desktop PC). Also, the app on my cell phone goes up to take a selfie verification but instead of opening the camera it asks for an email. I used the email but then starts to another endless loading loop on the IG app (circle in the middle). Somehow, I can't send a face verification anymore...
Last but not least, I completed a form and emailed IG but a bot answered in 4 different emails with the same body (short off that info is not enough). How on earth a face verification, a telephone number, an alternative email are not enough to investigate the issue. Even a check on the logs will obvious prove my issue here.
I'm desperate cause you have none to talk with for such an issue (GDPR sensitive matter in EU).

The META team managed to disconnect the META account from IG but I have 2 more questions to ask:
1) The hacker has more than 4 Visa and Mastercard cards and shipping info details under the META Accounts Center > Meta Pay. My questions is, can I remove these details or shall I inform someone?
2) Logging through my Android, on META Accounts Center > Password & Security > Where you logged In there was an unknown device showing as me. I'm not at USA, what's this?

Hi I'm having the same issue as well. Instagram account was hacked and it has a Meta Horizon account attached to it with 2FA code setup. I managed to log back in after completing a series of verification but in less than a minutes I was kicked out from the account again. In that short time, I managed to change the email address, password and phone number back to my account. Hacker tried to change it back but I managed to stop it by securing the account. However, when I try to log back in, it is stuck in the loop of asking for a confirmation code. Every time I adde the confirmation code, an error message comes out saying either I have added a wrong code (which is not) or I have added the code too many times. My backup code that I get from the selfie verification has expired which means I will need to repeat the cycle (complete another round of selfie or friend verification), in which also required a confirmation code (that I cannot receive it). This is so frustrating as I cannot get any help from either Meta, Facebook, Instagram. I have even paid for Meta Verified which puts me to a real human, but have not heard anything back from them since.
