So I've received 3 emails from meta Horizon recently - setting up my birthday date, new avatars and IARC (I have signed up as developer but never made any app)
When I try to respond to the emails it says the address they were sent from was "Facebook"
notification+AZGp2YWRlcjEyMzRAZ21haWwuY29t@facebookmail.com
Is that a legit address used by facebook for notifications like these or are these emails scams??

I got the same thing and I’ve also never made an app. I submitted a ticket to the dev support link provided in the email.

I just received this email right now and I was kind of confused because I have no idea what it is talking about so I googled this and found your forum But now it appears that a lot of people are getting this so this could be some type of fishing scam. Do not reply to it .

Do not open or reply to it. This could be a scam.

Dev support just replied in my ticket:
Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out!
This notice was to inform that IARC changes have been made recently and application's that are currently being developed or are in the process of being developed are subject to creating a new IARC. If you do have an application that created an IARC certification after July 24, 2024, please create a new one in your Metadata (MDU). Any IARC certifications made before that will be required to be changed before December 23rd, 2024 to avoid any interruptions in an application's availability. These changes only affect an application's availability in Taiwan.
We do appreciate your help keeping our platform and your application's compliant with these IARC requirement changes.
If you do not have an application, you may disregard this email.
Thank you for your time,
Alex

Do not reply to it this could be a scam

I got one also. No idea if spam

It is obviously a phishing scam. IARCs are required in certain countries if you are a developer for apps. This is an obvious attempt at getting personal information from unsuspecting victims.

Has anyone else received a "Action required: Renew IARC Certificate to distribute in Taiwan" email?
I don't have any apps on the store and I have literally no idea what this email means, but it apparently came from Meta??????
