In short, the problem is that after starting the Oculus app, my PC crashes, freezes, and sometimes blues the screen with the error clock_watchdog_timeout, no matter if I click on the thumbnail or activate the sensor in the headset. My guess is that it is faulty Oculus drivers, but the problem is that after rebooting the PC a couple of times, everything works properly. I have an Oculus Rift CV1 + Touch that I bought back in 2019 and stopped playing after 2 months. I had it stored in the closet in its original box, so it looks brand new. What is noteworthy is that this has never been a problem before. Back then, I had an 8700 + Z370-E STRIX.
PC:
BENQ 2411p & 2546k
I7 12700KF // Disabled E cores + Undervolted || Clocked on 4.9GHz
GTX 1070Ti STRIX
VENGEANCE LPX // 2x8 3600MHZ
MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK
CORSAIR RM650X
Solution that tried and didn't work:
- Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers 497.29
- Install older NVIDIA 472.12
- Update BIOS
- Update Windows
- Reinstall/Repair Oculus
- Reinstall Steam VR

Nevermind, the problem was in the undervolt. I had 1.290 on the vcore, so it was too low for the system, so it was crashing.

For people who have this problem, I solved it by enabeling the E-cores back.
