Quest 2 Not pairing using 5 digit code

user_569710336898252

Hello~  We are trying to pair our Quest 2 headset to our phone.  It says to enter a 5-digit code, which we do, and it says it cannot find the headset.  We have tried this on an i-phone, android phone and a Samsun tablet with no luck.

Thank you for your help in advance,

Hey @user_569710336898252. We know how troubling it can be to have a pairing issue. Luckily we are here and we'll do everything we can to get you into VR. Since you've tried to pair it on two different phones and a tablet, we'll like to try factory resetting the headset to fix this.

Please keep in mind that doing this will erase of your game data, pictures and etc. However you will still keep all of your purchases apps and games. To do a factory reset, please follow these steps.

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

We look forward to hearing back on how this helps.

I am also having this problem right now I have tried to factory reset but it’s still not pairing after this I have even tried with a different phone

Hey there! Having pairing issues is not what we like to hear, we know how that can hinder your gameplay. No worries, let's see what we can do! Could you please try the following steps for us:

  • Ensure the phone's Bluetooth is turned on and the headset is turned on.

  • Ensure user and headset are using the admin account, and not an additional account.

  • Clear the Bluetooth cache on the phone.

  • Power cycle the phone and the headset.
    • Power off and then back on again. If unable to power off the headset normally, hold down the power button for 30 seconds.

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Oculus application on the phone.

  • Ensure the phone and headset are connected to same wireless network.
    • If using a dual-band router, also make sure they are connected to the same band (2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz) as well.

  • Try using a different phone.
  • Factory reset the headset again

Please let us know if these steps worked for you!

Same **bleep** issue fresh out of the box. Ridiculous, imagine being assisted and sent through endless loops by chat bots 'facepalm'. Honestly regret getting this literal tech trash rather than saving a few hundred more for a Valve Index.
