Quest 3 & Pro controllers stuck at 0% updating

0% update forever on both PRO controllers that are already sync with a quest 3 headset

What I had done..

Pair them again and again the Q3 got them paired all the time
Hard reset on controllers
Factory reset on Q3 headset (even that involves a huge waste of time)

V64 is the version of the software of my Q3
Nothing worked so far in other post I saw that randomly people finally got this controllers working what was not my situation

Support on chat after we try it everything  ask me to send the pro controllers back what I already did  (I already did all that support was asking for but for respect the support guy time I follow all what he asked for "maybe it works this time by a chance").
As I see this issue as very common I want to know what is going on for PRO controllers, Q3 is perfect for me for work as I use them as tool, but for play even vs Q2 the tracking of quest3 is inferior by a lot.

If there is no proper solution for this I see no point in order another controllers or even keep the quest 3.

Hello there! We know having the controllers not work as they should greatly hinders the VR experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to team up with you to explore a resolution. So we can start marking some things off the list. Let's have you try and factory reset the controllers. To factory reset the Pro controllers, please try the following:

  • Right Controller: Hold A and Oculus buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
    • Left Controller: Hold X and Menu buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
  • Release the buttons immediately after the LED begins blinking red/white.
  • Perform a manual pairing and check if controller LED would flash blue and white to signal pairing state.
  • Once paired, controllers may take a while to update and stay unresponsive until they finish, and LED would be purple during the update.

I already did that twice with each controller. I tried all the "hacks" out of the 31 pages long thread https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/Quest-2-Quest-pro-controllers-update-stuck-at-0/td-p/... , it all ends up in paired controllers, stuck updating at 0% 

Hey again @DreDev! Thank you for that update on your efforts with troubleshooting your controllers. Have you allowed them to drain and die completely?

Well it seems V63 or V64 is the same issue

As we all know V63 and 64 is the same is not a sync issue always is just that once the controls are sync they get stuck on 0% update forever,  factory reset on headset and hard reset on pro controllers fix nothing i will order another pro controllers if this ones doesn't work also I will have to return everything sadly.

We are not few with this issue just look around google and you will fin many people with the same issue and seems no one know what is going on.

Well I will give it a try when the new ones are in home, btw as I remember from the PRO headset the controllers auto turn off after few secs, is there a way to drain them out fast?

We don't have a way to drain the controller life, only while in use @ST.Shorai. We hope your new Quest Pro controllers come in quickly and we'll be eagerly waiting to hearing your feedback! If you have any further questions, we'll be happy to assist you further!

Well I dont think I will order a new ones or even keep the quest 3 at this point, I may end returning the quest 3 is kinda unacceptable this kind of issues to be honest

Hey there! It seems you're having issues with your controllers syncing and updating. Totally understand this is not the experience you should be having and I appreciate the troubleshooting steps, feedback you provided and submitted! 

This update is currently still rolling out and any bug report is helpful! As this software version is pretty new. We hope changes are made and this experience gets better. However, in the meantime I recommend still waiting for updates in case is a bug. I appreciate your patience in this and hope to hear back from you!
