Untimely movements to the right of my quest 2

Rick_777

Hello,

I currently have a very nasty problem with my Quest 2.

In all games where movement is possible, (Elite vr sniper, Saints & Sinners, etc.) my Quest 2 moves to the right on its own. Which is extremely disturbing after a while, I have to stop playing if I don't want to end up completely ill ...

Sometimes the movements stop, then resume after a while ...

The batteries are fully charged. Even when restarting the headset the problem persists.

Have you already encountered this problem and above all found a solution?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hey there Rick_777! That's not the experience we like to hear about. Let's work together to straighten out your gameplay experience. I would like to know if the room you are playing in is well-lit and/or if the Guardian is affected at all by this issue. Thanks!

Thank you for your quick reply.

My room is pretty well lit.
I went the extra mile for the light sources.
My Guardian is square in shape and I have added lamps to each corner.
The Guardian works pretty well.
Despite my best efforts each time I move forward, there is another movement to the right (extremely disturbing after a while) that follows.
Thanks for your help.

Hey, Rick_777!

We understand that you are having an issue with your Quest 2 jerking you to the right when you move in-game, and we appreciate the effort you have put in to identify and troubleshoot this issue. Would you say that this is a controller-related issue? If you believe this has to do with the controller tracking or drifting, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Replace the batteries in the controller(s)
  • Try resetting the Guardian if you have not already
  • Un-pair and re-pair your controller(s)

Does the issue appear to be caused by just one or both of the controllers? If you have isolated the issue to one controller, which is causing this issue (right or left)?

If the above troubleshooting steps do not resolve this issue, please submit a support ticket to us here, so we can further assist you.

Hello,
thank you for your answer.
Sorry for my late response.

I tested all of the recommendations you gave me but it doesn't seem like they solve my problem.

I have replace the batteries, reset the Guardian, Un-pair and re-pair my controller, I have the same probleme during my game (Untimely movements to the right)

On the other hand, the problem is noted only on the left controller. Nothing to report on the right controller.

Ok I will create a ticket with the link you gave me.

Thanking you.

Hello,
I have this problem at the moment.
The only deafferents is that I move to the right out of nowhere (Feels like the joystick is pushed to the right).
Do you have a possible answer?

Hey Glendrx152! We understand how this can detract from your gameplay experience, but we're here to give you some steps that can help your controller's joystick improve.

  • Remove the batteries for at least 30 seconds before attempting to use them again.
  • On Standalone Headsets: Increase the dead zones of the controller until the drift is no longer an issue/noticeable.
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Go to Controller Settings
    3. Under Joystick Deadzone and Range, select the joystick which is having issue
    4. Follow on-screen instructions to recalibrate the joysticks deadzones
  • When powering on your controllers, ensure that the Analog sticks aren't being held in any direction and are at rest in the neutral position.

If these steps don't work, we invite you to contact our email and chat teams to look into the issue further. just click HERE and we'll help get this resolved for you. Thanks!

Can anyone help me? Everytime i play a game something is randomly pushing me to the right side. I tried restarting it was still there, it's honsetly disturbing me alot. I can't play like that i need help please

Hey there, @Mendy582. Thanks for giving us a heads up that you're having issues with being moved to the right while playing a game. Having something like this happen can certainly take the wind out of your VR sails, and we would like to lend a hand to help out. So we can gain a little more insight into this, can you answer the following for us?

Does this happen with all of your games or just one in particular?

Does this happen with both controllers?

Were you able to reset the joystick drift? If not, here is how.

If your issue persists, please let us know. We are looking forward to your reply.

I've tried everything you told me to do, the random pushing is still there. It's like it hates me or something.
