Which one is best to purchase for a preteen, Quest 2 or Quest 3?

Looking at purchasing a Meta Quest for my 12yr old son would you recommend the 2 or 3 and why

Hi there I would get the quest 2 for him as if it break or he doesn't take care of it the quest 3 is also not the best gaming headset if that's what your son wants quest 2 is more reliable well have good day 😊

I disagree with that.  The Q3 is a much more capable headset and will be supported for a lot longer than the Q2 (which really is on it's last legs and soon woll be discontinued).  I have both and the Q3 plays games much better, including much better passthrough/Mixed Reality.  Being 12yo he should be able to properly take care of this imho.

No I think that Q3 is not good and the tracking Is bad just get the Q2

No lots of games are compatible with the quest 2 and 3

Anyone who has used both Q2 and Q3 knows, lol!  The Q3 has a much more powerful chip and will perform much better than a Q2.  Maybe just google Meta Quest 2 vs Q3.  Saying a 12yo kid can only use older/cheaper tech is a bit silly imho.
