quest 2 VR pc loading issue

We've just recently connected our quest 2 to a fully compatible PC but every time I click start on the game we downloaded it flashes up on the PC then disconnects. It's connected via airlink and the air link is still connected and I can't figure out why the game keeps stopping on loading. 

Hope this makes sense.

Any advice greatly received!

Heya @jjjones.2023. We know how concerning it can be the game not work when using the Air Link feature. Luckily we are here to assist you the best way we can. 

 

Would you mind telling us if this is happening with just one game or more? Would you also try to repair the desktop app to try and fix this. 

 

1. Go here scroll down to the Quest 2 software and click Download software.

2. Select Repair.

  • If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
  • If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info and then click Run anyway.

3. Allow the repair process to run, download and install.

4. Launch the Oculus PC app.

 

We'll also like for you reboot the headset and relaunch the Air Link feature. Please follow these steps to reboot the headset. 

 

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

What are the specs of your fuily compatible PC? A lot of people run the SteamVR hardware test and assume the results (from 2016) are still valid.
