Basically had it running good for like... 3 days. Then oculus would shut off my pc. Now after a day long convo with support (of which they stopped answering after sending the logs) my rift completly shuts off my pc. I wish I could get it working but at this point im probably just going to return it and get a Vive.

Is it the rift ? Error logs showing it's the rift ? Sounds like a dodgy GPU to me or other heat issues.
A PC with lots of gadgets inside and a thing to see in 3D that you put on your head.

I would try re-installing NVIDIA drivers from scratch, use DDU to clear out the old drivers: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
Core i7-7700k @ 4.9 Ghz | 32 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance @ 3000Mhz | 2x 1TB Samsung Evo | 2x 4GB WD Black
ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO | MSI AERO GTX 1080 OC @ 2000Mhz | Corsair Carbide Series 400C White (RGB FTW!)

Be kind to one another 🙂

I forgot to add. I have done everything from Usb hubs to moving the install location. It all started after the most recent oculus update. No it is not my power supply. I have a ryzen 7 1700 with a rx 470 and 8gb of ddr4 ram. along with a 850W power supply. This is all good enough to run Vr as I was able to for 3 days. Dont mean to be rude on here it just really ticks me off with all the money i spent for my pc just for vr to stop working and destory my pc.

I am able to run every game I play on ultra for hours with no problem but as soon as that display turns on, in the rift, my pc restarts.

Could also be a PSU issue. If you're running an old or underpowered power supply, it may be too much.
