After years of playing and reviewing VR content it is very rare that I come across something that is as utterly mind blowing as Obduction! This game is what I have been waiting for in VR for years now. As a fan of Myst and Riven I had high hopes for this one and let me tell you, they were absolutely realized after playing Obduction. The game features jaw dropping gorgeous graphics and sound, and the feel of the game really brings back memories of playing those time honored classics. My only issue with the game is the forced 90 degree snap rotation. The developers gave the option for smooth forward motion and strafing but elected to keep the snap turning as something that can't be turned off. I sincerely hope they add this option as an update to the game because if it wasn't for this, I would have to say that this is a perfect VR experience for me! If you have not seen Obduction yet you are truly missing out on something very special in VR.

i played it for an hour and a half last night and was blown away i got used to the snap rotation quite easily but it would be nice to be able to control the angle and also go full motion

I thought it was ok, but certainly didn't blow me away, has some technical issues & gfx are blurry unless you ramp up the sample rate then its low frame rate. pretty simple puzzles so far.
It's good graphically, but I don't think it lives up to breathtaking or amazing as I've seen in reviews. One thing it does real well is text is incredibly easy to read in VR which other games seem to regularly fall short.
Don't worry VRGamerDude is one of many neo "youtubers" that spout pure hyperbole to gain views on their videos instead of being more subdued and realistic.
Only joking VRGamerDude I can tell as a fan of Myst and Riven you love the VR iteration.
