Hi, i am starting with dev with Quest and Unity and i am really confused about what SDK to use.
I found old SDK is deprecated and i should use Meta XR All-in-One SDK (from https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-gs-overview/).
When i will try some samples, my controllers are rotated wrong and there are only few docs. Mostly API doc, but small or none info about practical usage and implementation.
This tutorial from Unity is using even other SDK XR interaction something https://learn.unity.com/tutorial/vr-project-setup Every unity tutorial on youtube, udemy is for OpenXR 😦 Should i go with OpenXR?
I only want to dev for Quest device. I dont know where to start and with what. Can someone point me in correct direction (maybe with resources?)
Thank you

I am having the same issue... The resources online are just too little, making it extremely difficult to learn such a rapidly changing SDK.
And they are even still adding new things right now.
For now I think the best way to start going somewhere is just use the OpenXR sdk which has a lot more resources...

I'm currently using Oculus Integration which is deprecated but works for my Quest 2 and Quest Pro and has video tutorials available from Dilmer Valecillos

I expect he will create updated tutorials with the new SDK packages some time in the future.
He makes video about several VR SDK's so if you watch his channel, you should get a grasp on what each SDK is and does.

I am in the same boat - like come on Meta - you say you want more folks to develop - but the online state of the Docs is horrendous - theres no single source of truth - you can't even set up a RAG over it because they don't make the docs available anywhere as a PDF so i can't even get the bot to help me unless i manually scrape the entire site or copy paste back and forth.
Super frustrating.

It's a freakin mess!!!! No laser pointer samples, where the hell is ovr scene manager, samples are all over the place, why split everything into so many confusing bits, give us clean documented single package with proper samples, I think the whole thing needs a major overhaul

I've had this challenge too. The only thing that helps me is to just stick to using the documents online, join Discords, and ask questions. Those are not perfect, but I've struggled more with YouTube tutorials that almost always seem to be too old and not up-to-date.
