Venice VR Experience now available!

I had the unique opportunity to see Venice just as it opened up again and shot tons of footage with a stero VR camera. The first video takes you on a ride through the Grand Canal:

Not made to work on a Rift?  :'(

I've edited the original post to make the link work, sorry the restriction on adding links for new posters can be a pain.

@Mushroomie, there's a link on the OP's YouTube channel to download the video, so you should be able to see it on the Rift via a movie player.

Nice little trip in Venice at a very picturesque time of day! @Maebbie what camera did you use?

Intel 13700K, RTX 4070ti, 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5, Asus ROG Z790-A, Samsung 2TB 990 Pro M.2 (x2), 4TB 870QVO SSD, Corsair H150i Elite Capellix AIO, Corsair 5000D Airflow, Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (10.0.22621)

Thanks! I used a Vuze Camera, I made sure lighting conditions were even at all spots, as these VR180 cameras tend to overblow easily.

@Mushroomies as @DaftnDirect pointed out, I am also releasing to youtube 3 times a week to this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHPl0SFKkUjMVjUMGYgTYiKcrvjx0ZykA

All videos have now been approved and can be found using the link in the Original Post.
I have also made a map of all locations with links to each of the videos:

I made one last video compiling all 30 static locations into 1 video. It shows you each location for 30 seconds.

I will definitely put this on the list to check out.  I recently did the Smithsonian VR tour of Venice and while the presenter was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the city (I did learn a lot.) the graphic quality was very poor.  Thank you for offering this to the VR community!

There is lots to consider when shooting VR video and as its a very new thing you kind of need to pioneer it. Its kind of like people who know what to look for are a lot in VR, but people who are a lot in VR are not really the kind to go outside and would not shoot videos and such. Hope you enjoy your vr trip!
