PTC v42 Release Megathread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest and Quest 2 v42 is starting to roll out. Let's use this thread for collecting feedback on it. Share your impressions and let us know if you see any issues. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting here if you notice anything going wrong.

    Looking up or down makes the headset lose tracking for a few seconds and the headset will sometimes sit in a black screen, requiring a reboot. (this is on a Quest 1 btw)

    In this version, the battery will not charge more than 55%.

      Same with our headsets.  Using official Oculus LinkCable and it's stuck at 56%.

      My headset will not charge above 55% with v42 installed and will not charge at all

      while using it powered on.

        Same here battery will not charge pass 53%, support is useless they just keep saying factory reset or reboot, I did this a million times and it still won't charge pass 53%.

          Yup, it’ll charge to 100% only in the boot loader menu.
