Video Playback Issue on Meta Quest 3 Browser

I've been experiencing consistent issues with video playback on my Meta Quest 3 browser since November 2024. Regardless of the platform (YouTube, Netflix, etc.), the video freezes while the audio continues playing normally. I've ruled out network problems as YouTube VR works without any issues.


I've already performed a factory reset and updated the headset using a PC, but the problem persists. I suspect it might be a browser-specific bug or a compatibility issue with a recent system update.


Has anyone else encountered similar problems? Any suggestions on potential workarounds or troubleshooting steps would be very helpful.

    same problem after update on December, I think it must be browser bug. The browser cannot play any video.

      I use sony earphones, when I am not wearing headphones, the browser can play the videos, but once I connect to the earphones, the browser lag

        Wow. That was my problem then. I was using my Sony 1000MX2s, which have always worked, but they need a charge, so I tried using my 1000MX4s and then the videos started having that issue. When I disconnected, the YT video started playing again. Thank you so so much for that suggestion. Thought hadn't even crossed my mind.

    We have found a way to reproduce this problem.
    It appears that the video cannot be played when using Bluetooth earphones, and the video can be played if the unit's speaker is used.

      It seems like it's newer BT headphones, maybe with BT5 or something? Because 2 pair of my older Sony's work, but not my newer ones. Smh

    Just bought the 3S and only played Netflix once, then kept looping the red circle; no image shows?

    Does anyone know how to fix it, please?

    I'm having the same problem, as of yesterday. Online videos, like on Youtube, just aren't loading anymore. Vid plays for half a sec, then just audio. I've tried it with my VPN on and off. I've reset the Oculus and have cleared cash. Nothing has worked

    Had this problem since earlier this year and yes i use a Sony WH-1000XM3.  Tried Netflix in the browser and it works well without the sony connected. 

    Tried using my  Skullcandy Riff headphone and streaming netflix in the browser works fine.
