Autocapture didn't work after 2 or 3 km

Almost every time, the autocapture feature on my Meta vanguard glasses automatically stops working after I start running or cycling for about 2 to 3 kilometer(some times at 5 or 6km). The Meta glasses fail to read data from my Garmin watch, such as heart rate or speed. On the watch, the Meta AI icon changes into a blue IQ icon, similar to the one in the Garmin Connect app, with yellow ellipsis dots next to it. At that point, the autocapture function no longer works, and when I ask the Meta glasses by voice, they respond that they’re unable to read the relevant information. My watch is a Garmin Forerunner 965 system version 26.08, my phone runs on Android, and my Meta Vanguard glasses are on version 17.

  • Vanguard glass can answer my other question,so i think the meta ai still work, but there maybe something wrong between the glass and the Garmin watch.

Hello there, thank you for your post.

We understand you are having some issues with your Garmin watch disconnecting from your app while on a run after sometime. We know how important keeping full records and accounts of your physical activities are, so to help with this issue, please follow the steps below to make sure the glasses are connected to your watch.

     -Open the Meta AI app

     -Go to the Devices tab

     -Open your device’s settings

-Select App connections and look for Garmin

-If you don’t see that your device is connected, select Garmin and then connect your device.

-If you see that your device is already connected, then make sure that you’ve started an activity on your Garmin device that has the Meta AI Data Field.

-If you see the glasses icon with a slash in the Meta AI Data Field, this indicates that your device has been set up properly but isn’t currently connected. Make sure that you have the Meta AI app open on your phone and your glasses are connected and powered on.

-If you see that the Meta AI Data Field has the glasses icon without the slash, then you should be able to ask Meta AI about your workout stats.

-If this doesn’t work, try restarting your Garmin, glasses, and the Meta AI app on your phone.

We hope that has helped, if you still have issues after trying those steps, please don't hesitate to get in touch privately, via the steps below and we will give you some further troubleshooting steps.
