Hey Alex,
that's not normal. A video call is Indeed consuming much energy but I think that's too much.
I can imagine that this could be due to the initial calibration of the battery.
Generally it's recommended to complete charge and completely discharge the battery if a new device is installed to calibrate the batterylevels.
Maybe you try that. Just use the glasses until they are turning off by theirselfs and the charge them completely to 100%.
If the problem maintains you can still reach out to the Metasupport.

Hello there! alex.515410
We are sorry to hear about this inconvenient situation with your battery draining too fast. As SnoopyDoggy69 said in the above message, this points to be an issue with the initial settings and calibration of your glasses. Live video calls and video recording are the features that uses the most battery within the device, we'd like to share with you a few steps that might improve significantly your battery's life:
-Disable or minimize "Ok Meta": Go to the app and turn off the "Ok Meta" hotword to prevent the glasses from constantly listening. You can still activate AI manually
-Disable auto-pause/adjust: Turn off features like auto-pause that constantly use the microphone.
-Check your settings: Regularly check the Meta app for any new settings or updates that might be affecting battery life.If afer these steps you find yourself struggling with the same issue, send us a message through any of our support channels to initiate a private conversation with one of our agents. They are always happy to assist!

Do you have one that lasts longer for video calls, or are you just speculating?
