Can't access shared app after subscription end

I am secondary user on Quest 3. I played games with Horizon+ subscription trial which I have now ended. Primary account holder has now purchased 2 of the games I played when I had Horizon+ subscription. App sharing is turned on. I cannot install these new shared apps; it offers me option of renewing Horizon+ subscription or buying in store. I just want to install app which primary user has purchased and shared.

I have confirmed primary user has newly purchased games in library. (Crisis Brigade 2 Reloaded, and Dungeons of Eternity. Both are reported as fully supporting app sharing)

I've tried logging in as primary user, turning app sharing off, restarting headset, log back in as primary user and turning app sharing back on. Still doesn't work.

Internet suggests filtering for shared apps when trying to install but there is no such drop down in app library screen these days.

Tried online bot support but hit a brick wall. Tried personalised support but it kicks me out because I don't have a device attached to my account (I'm secondary user, my wife has primary account).

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for suggestions everyone. I appreciate your prompt and thoughtful responses.

I logged on to Meta support using my wife's account to try and pursue a solution that way. I put the headset on to double check that the OS really was up to date (yes) and to remind myself of the exact phrasing of the  message I was getting. Wouldn't you know it - everything worked fine. Clicked on the apps and they installed without any hesitation. Even better, they appear to have retained the progress I had made when playing using my trial subscription.

Cheers.

Hi HerculesIronworks 🙂

Talk to support using your wife's account and explain your situation.

This issue happens sometimes after playing a demo, or in your case the free subscription trial.

I think the answer is in your own comment. Contact support using your wife's primary account or ask her to do it.

You need to download/install the games on the Primary account first, before they can be shared with the secondary account. If that still doesn't work, contact support chat using the link Choleni provided.

Actually, it's not neccassary to download a game on the main account first. 🤔

My secondary account has access and can download/install every game of the main account's library  - regardless if it is installed on that account or not.

Oh, yeah, unless it's a child account.
