Game as gift

Hello,

My son has had a game brought by a grandparent as a gift, with an email address that does not have facebook or instagram accounts, and the email address is not linked to my sons device.

How do we get access to this purchase?

I could be wrong, but if the game was gifted to your son's Meta profile, then I would expect it should become available for him to download straight from the library app on the headset when he logs on using his profile? You might need to check the library filters for showing "Not installed" apps.

Thankyou for your reply. Unfortunately, the game was brought with no link to my son's Meta profile, just sent to the buyers email.

The email should contain a code.

Your son must redeem the game with that code in the app, headset or on the web page.

In the store go to the game, tab on the three points on the top, tab redeem gift, put in the code. After doing that he can download the game.

Thankyou for your reply. Unfortunately the game was not linked to my son's profile, and just a receipt sent to the buyers email.

It was thought that a code would come with the purchase to link the the required account.

The game doesn't have to be linked to the account. The sender must put in an email address or a name when sending a gift. To the email address that's connectect with the name the code is sent.

If you can't find any code, reach out to support, they might able to sort that.
