Gorilla Tag mic not working since V2.9 updaye
Hi everyone Im looking for advice. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and going over the quest 2 permissions etc but for some reason 1 minute gorilla tag was fine ( was able to speak to people) and now it doesn't work at all. I have contacted gorilla tag support and they basically told me to do what I have already done. I will copy and paste what I sent in the email so you guys can see what I have done to try and fix this and hopefully someone might be able to suggest something I haven't tried::
Hello and thank you for your advice on how to fix it so that I am able to talk and be heard again on gorilla tag on my quest 2 which iam using as standalone. So my problem is I was able to speak and be heard in gorilla tag then all of a sudden the in game computer in the tree house is now always saying ' no mic detected'.
These are the list of things we have done to try and correct it.
- In the in game computer always checked settings: Mic: on/open, Voice: human
- Made sure Gorilla tag permissions were set to allow and also in microphone settings.
- Cleared gorilla tag data
- With cloud storage on We uninstalled gorilla tag and reinstalled and the mic still didnt work so we cleared app data again, turned off cloud storage, uninstalled gorilla tag again and reinstalled it as a fresh install - still with cloud storage turned off the mic still didnt work despite allowing all permissions in the game and on the quest 2 device.
- We factory reset the quest 2 device and again reinstalled gorilla tag and allowed all permissions on the device and in game and still mic is saying 'no mic detected'
- We reset our router and did all of the above steps again and still gorilla tag is saying 'no mic detected'
- We have checked every time that the mic is not muted in main settings and made sure permissions for mic are allowed for gorilla tag.
- We have also checked that there are no restrictions on the account/s that could stop voice chat.
I Also have to mention that no other games are affected by this issue. I can go into other fames and I am able to speak into the mic and people are able to hear me. I have checked permissions across all games that I use the mic in and they are all the same as in gorilla tag so for some reason the problem is within gorilla tag itself which is affecting me and uninstalling and reinstalling the game doesn't correct it. And as I said before it was fine then all of a sudden this issue started.
