Referred App keeps showing Invalid Link

Its been almost 3 months and still unable to use referral codes. I did talk to someone from support and this is the response that they gave me.

so I do want to let you know that We are evaluating changes to the App referrals program. As a result, some randomly selected groups of users may periodically not be able to access App referrals. These user groups change frequently, and if an offer is not currently available to you that is available to others, this means that offer is not being given to your group at this time. Please keep an eye out for similar options in your group in the future."

I'm having the same issue, prob going to return this Quest 3 I just bought, what a joke. How can the meta team be this incompetent?

I think they have no idea what is really causing this. And a lot of mis-communication

When support wrote about promotions for specific groups, they ment the promotions tab. I had a coupon there the first 2(?) weeks after I got my quest as a welcome bonus. Promotion coupon was also named something like welcome bonus. There could also be a discount if a game part 2 releases for owners of part 1 and things like that.

This are the groups they talk about.

This has nothing to do with refferals as promotions are a different thing.

bro idk if this is a glitch or not its annoying when someone sends me a referral link for example im trying to get totally baseball and when people send me the link i click on it and it says they recommend it and i dont get the 25% off how do i fix it?

I too cannot use any app referrals at all. Anytime my friend sends me a referral link for 25% off his game, all it says is that the user Recommends this game. No discount is applied. Apparently this has been going on for months. How is this not fixed??

Not only can we not redeem referral links, it looks like we're blocked from sending our own referral links to friends now.

My own referral links are all defaulting to the "invalid link" page. So I can't even receive referral credits anymore. If we send our links to a friend, we'll just look stupid because we'll be sending them to an error page.

Total price discrimination.

Can someone please expain this. First I can't use the referral system and now they aren't even giving me the full amount. Ridiculous. Meta are the most awful service I've ever used.

As well as having no access to the app referrals and no access to the May and June sales, my friend who did have access to the sales tried to gift me a game and the app would just error when he tried, so even gifting to my account doesn't work, thanks Meta, you've taken my joy and excitement in my first VR hardware and replaced it with annoyance and anger. I doubt anyone from the company will read this or care but this'll be the last thing I buy from you!

Please all report the post that is marked as 'Solution' as false information, maybe then someone reacts... as it is not a solution it is utter nonsense. 

I haven't been able to get one successful referral discount to work on my QUEST 3.  Purchased my headset in January, first time trying a referral was in May and it has never worked yet.  I'll purchase my games through the Steam Store from now on until it's fixed.  The referral was a great incentive to try a new game and save a little in the process.
