refunds

Meta Quest cash is only for games credit and as it was never in your bank account in the first place you should spend it from there. If you're worried about someone buying a game without permission, make sure your account and password is secure. If they can use your store credit, they have access to your credit card details too. If your account is secure you have nothing to worry about. You still have to approve a Meta cash purchase in the same way as your credit card.

Hello bigbubba.807192 !

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. We truly understand how important it is to feel safe and in control when making purchases on Meta Quest, and we’re here to support that every step of the way.

Right now, if you buy something using Meta Quest store credit, any refund will go right back to that same credit balance. At this time, it’s not possible to redirect those funds to your default payment card, but we hear you, and we’ll make sure your suggestion reaches the right team.

If you’re ever worried about someone making a purchase without your permission, it’s a great idea to double-check your account security settings. A strong password and secure login can go a long way in keeping your store credit and payment details safe. And just so you know, Meta cash purchases go through the same approval process as credit card transactions, adding an extra layer of protection.

Also, a quick note: Meta Quest cash is designed just for game credit, it’s not taken from your bank account, so it’s meant to be spent within the platform. This helps keep things simple, secure, and consistent for everyone.
