Question

Supernatural no new content.

Poor decision to essentially cancel Supernatural. I won’t be renewing anything on my meta quest. This app was the ONLY reason I bought the headset. Shame on Meta. This app has been life changing for many people. So much for following Meta’ s core ideals.

      The app is not "cancelled" to existing subscribers, however. But it no longer makes sense for the app to be subscription based.

        Music licensing and streaming requires a monthly subscription — unlike Beat Saber, where music is much more limited and expensive.

        Zero chance they won't soak whatever money out of it they can, but as music licenses expire and content slowly leaks away the app will likely fade away.

        julesnursey69 It's not cancelled. You can still use it if you are an existing subscriber, just no new content. It's not exactly the end of the world there are other good fitness apps.

          Agreed! I was thinking about upgrading to the new Quest (I'm still using Quest 2). But now I won't. Honestly, it is the only app we use on the headset.

            Same here.  Supernatural is the reason I have the headset.  It will never be used again.  Why would they do something like this?  What a waste.

            As long as I still have Pistol Whip I'm happy.

            I could never try Supernatural due to it being region locked to US/Canada.

              They shrunk their team so much😮, I hope they'll survive.

              For the players it's great that they push new content for free to the game, but for the studio it probably would have been better they'd sell it as DLCs.... I happily had bought them.

                Supernatural is the only reason I bought the oculus headset. This totally sucks. When it no longer loads, I will get rid of my headset and I will never buy anything else from this company!!!!

                  Music licensing and streaming requires a monthly subscription — unlike Beat Saber, where music is much more limited and expensive. You can also turn off your headset sound and play whatever music you want, as long as the programming/targets remain accessible. Jessa Ann has posted about that a few times to the Facebook Community, such as:

                  Still, it is hugely disappointing and shortsighted that Meta is cutting support for the Supernatural Team, who make the Supernatural experience extra special.

                  I wasn’t disabled. Meta cut all the trainers for supernatural and will not add new content.

                  I wasn’t disabled. All the supernatural trainers were fired and no new content is being added. I only bought a VR headset for supernatural. I will be very hesitant to buy any more meta products.
