Just saw this upcoming PCVR exclusive - it does look great-ish:

The game should launch later this year - find more info here:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3368470/Road_To_Yvhalon/

Another upcoming game for high-end VR (PCVR and PSVR2) is the horror game Project Louisiana: The Bounds VR:

Devs do recommend an RTX 4080 or better, so this game may be very demanding - more info here:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3415410/Project_Louisiana__The_BOUNDS_VR/

Remnant Protocol is looking good too - it's been some time since the last great VR space sim:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/2201470/Remnant_Protocol/

Lastly,  the PCVR-enhanced Quest port named One More Delve may be of interest too:

    More info here:

Oculus Rift CV1, Valve Index & PSVR2, Asus Strix OC RTX™ 3090, i9-10900K (5.3Ghz), 32GB 3200MHz, 16TB SSD "Ask not what VR can do for you, but what you can do for VR"

It seems potentially awesome PCVR games keep on being announced these days - but Christmas is getting closer. A few hours ago this game was announced:

More info about the horror game Maid of Sker VR can be found here:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/4005370/Maid_of_Sker_VR/

Btw, note that the game is a port of the 2D version, which can be found here:

Oculus Rift CV1, Valve Index & PSVR2, Asus Strix OC RTX™ 3090, i9-10900K (5.3Ghz), 32GB 3200MHz, 16TB SSD "Ask not what VR can do for you, but what you can do for VR"

Reach is arriving later today - and it's a great pleasure to see that Quest 2 support has been cut - the game only supports Quest 3 for standalone:

    https://www.meta.com/experiences/reach/9707487579328855/

Also the PCVR requirements are very high - and 50GB indicates we might be getting a great game - far from a simple Quest 3 port:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel i7-11700F or better
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti (8 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT - 16 GB VRAM
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 50 GB available space
    • VR Support: Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, Valve Index, HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro, PSVR2, Rift S, Rift
    • Additional Notes: Desktop Only, SSD Required

RTX 4060 Ti and 50GB does look great. Keeping my fingers crossed for a great VR experience.

Note that the launch trailer is out on Steam, but not yet available on YouTube:

Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate arrives later today - much delayed from the launch of the  same game for Quest and PSVR2 platforms 6 months ago. Hopefully it has been worth the wait, and the recommended specs for PCVR are sky-high:

     Recommended:

      • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
      • OS: Windows 10 - 64 Bit
      • Processor: Intel Core i9-11900K/AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or higher
      • Memory: 16 GB RAM
      • Graphics: Nvidia 3080 12GB or equivalent
      • DirectX: Version 12
      • Storage: 50 GB available space

Note from the devs to users of Meta hmds:

"GPUs with under 10 GB VRAM may struggle in heavy scenes due to Link’s VRAM overhead. For better performance, lower graphics to High or Medium and launch in Oculus VR mode from the Steam options."

Find the game here later today:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/2472940/Wanderer_The_Fragments_of_Fate/

Note that this trailer does not show enhanced PCVR but the PSVR2 version - but these versions probably will look much similar in a 2D video:

Oculus Rift CV1, Valve Index & PSVR2, Asus Strix OC RTX™ 3090, i9-10900K (5.3Ghz), 32GB 3200MHz, 16TB SSD "Ask not what VR can do for you, but what you can do for VR"

So latest news ... or close :-) Irreversible has launched and is surprisingly great even if it's early access:

    My first impressions:

    https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970329732/recommended/3215560?snr=1_5_9__402

The game is 10% off, so only about $18, until 10 November.

Another nice surprise is Zero Caliber 2 Remasted:

The game impressed me more than I thought it would. Controls are janky, but it helps completing the tutorial. Graphics using Ultra levels are great, but you need high-res to help with antialiasing. Still view distance is great, and especially the lighting and detailed dynamic shadows are impressive. My rating is 8/10 based in my first impressions.

    Find the game here:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/2719740/Zero_Caliber_2_Remastered/

The game is 10% off for the next 8 hours, so do not hesitate for long ;-)

Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow launched a few weeks ago - and has now received the second patch, and I should be able to recommend the game now:

    My Steam review:

    https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970329732/recommended/2800080?snr=1_5_9__402

and more info and screenshots here - the PCVR version (32GB) is greatly enhanced compared to the lowest-end Quest 2/3 version (8GB):

The Riese Project is one of the most demanding VR games ever - and uses UE5 (ray traced shadows?). The game arrived about a month ago, but wasn't listed as VR supported at launch, so I never knew it was out - until one dev wrote to me yesterday and gave me a free key as thanks for my positive Steam review (in 2023 for the Prologue).

The Early Access game is here:

    store.steampowered.com/app/4128150/The_Riese_Project/

I'm using my CV1 for this game - only Meta hmds work with the game.

    Btw, Merry Christmas! :-)
