If you have access to calling OpenXR functions directly, it would be helpful to know what you get back from xrGetCurrentInteractionProfile()

    https://registry.khronos.org/OpenXR/specs/1.0/html/xrspec.html#xrGetCurrentInteractionProfile

I already log the current (or switched too) profile, when controllers are active the binding is touch controllers, when hand tracking is active the new interaction profile is XR_MSFT_hand_interaction, which I do have suggested bindings for too and looks like has only been added to Oculus Quest/PC OpenXR runtimes since v46 but not documentated anywhere.

You can find the relevant code dealing with interaction profiles in my last post here

StereoKit's code for binding to the touch controller is over here:
    https://github.com/StereoKit/StereoKit/blob/develop/StereoKitC/xr_backends/openxr_input.cpp#L498

This binds to input/squeeze/value, but not input/squeeze/click, and xrGetCurrentInteractionProfile seems to correctly report oculus/touch_controller

We are still trying and failing to reproduce what you're seeing. We will continue to try.

Any updates on this? One would think that it might be easy to replicate with multiple code examples in this thread...

There are 0 code examples in this thread. If you have simple instructions or code that reproduces the issue please share it.

We are looking into writing our own sample on StereoKit to try and reproduce. We have a sample that does not reproduce the issue that will be shipping next week with v47 so that's another option if folks who are seeing the issue can try the same and a. see if it reproduces for them and b. see what may be the difference between that sample and their code.

I gave links to my own code here on this very page 3 weeks ago.

VoodooUomolionleafOkay I found the cause of the bug! it is the XR_MSFT_hand_interaction extension, it is not enough to not provide suggested bindings for this interaction profile, the extension must not be enabled entirely otherwise suggested bindings for touch (pro) interaction profile involving grip button will not work.

LordSirSgtJeffreyThanks, that was very useful in order for us to reproduce the bug. We have found the root cause and a fix is on the way.

We really appreciate you reporting this and working with us to narrow it down.

    Thank you LordSirSgtJeffrey

Let's hope more people start using native OpenXR soon so we can all help highlight and resolve these things.
