Cannot shell into Quest Device, Cannot ADB root

Good Morning.

I'm trying to shell into my device to retrieve some logs from a developmental UE4 build, but I've discovered I can't seem to root into the device.

Trying to navigate anywhere yields only Permission denied.
Developer Mode is engaged.

Anyone have any insight?
Thanks

Why on Earth do you want to root into it !?

Logcat is your friend for getting logs.

Basic other uses such as verify package installation, verify structure of non log files that should be generated, etc. I could pull each one, but I don't recall the suffix of each file. It seems like it'd be useful to have root access to a development kit.

We'd like root access as well to be able to permanently enable wireless adb access on our dev devices. I haven't had much luck finding a way either.
