System gesture is reserved

The Meta team canceled my app submission because they said that for apps that support hand tracking, the system gesture is reserved and should not trigger any other action within the app. How can I address this problem? They sent me some links, but they are not really useful. Can someone tell me how to address this problem?

The first link points to Meta's Virtual Reality Check (VRC) for system gestures. VRCs are a set of VR-specific guidelines that Quest Store and App Lab apps must meet or exceed in order to be considered for distribution. VRCs are divided into categories of evaluation such as assets that accompany your app, its performance, function, and how it handles input, with a focus on the user experience.

The second link explains what those system gestures look like.

To fix the problem, you need to use a different gesture to trigger your desired action. So long as the gesture is different from the system gesture, you should be good to go for that VRC 🙂
