Question

Cannot subscribe to Muse Power or Maximum in iOS app — purchase fails before Apple payment sheet appears

Hello, posting my case here because in-app support has not responded.

In the Muse iOS app, subscribing to Power ($20/month) fails instantly with a generic "purchase failed, please try again" error. I also tested Maximum ($100/month) — it fails at exactly the same step.

Key detail: the Apple payment confirmation sheet never appears. The purchase aborts inside the app before it is ever handed to Apple, so this is not an Apple billing problem. Everything on the Apple side is verified working:

- My Apple account balance is sufficient.

- Three other subscriptions on the same Apple account are active and renew normally.

- I bought a brand-new subscription in a different app on the same night with no issue.

What I have tried:

- Reinstalled the Muse app.

- Signed out and back in to Media & Purchases.

- Checked payment method and purchase history — no problems found.

- Checked that my account meets the age requirement.

- Changed my device region to the United States.

- Submitted an in-app issue report — no response so far.

The app itself works fine, and every Apple-side check passes, so it looks like my Meta account is blocked from subscribing on Meta's side — possibly related to subscriptions being in limited testing by account and region. If anyone from the Muse team sees this, please check the subscription eligibility on my account. If anyone else has the same "fails before the payment sheet" symptom, please reply — my case is also listed in the affected-accounts collection thread.

Well, you’re not in a supported country 😏. Only 4 countries are supported so far.

Thanks for the reply — that explains a lot, and it matches what I suspected: my account's region isn't eligible yet. Do you happen to know which 4 countries are currently supported? And has anyone in an unsupported region managed to subscribe through the Muse website instead of the app? Appreciate the info!

Some sources say USA and Canada only. Another source says Japan and Singapore as well. Using VPN won’t work.

Thanks a lot for the details, steve40 — really helpful. So it's the US, Canada, Japan and Singapore for now, and a VPN doesn't help. I'll still give the website checkout a try once I'm back home, but at least now I know what I'm up against. Appreciate you taking the time to reply!
