Feature Request / Bug: Cannot restore or view backed-up Ray-Ban footage inside the Meta App Gallery
Right now, the Meta app gallery only displays photos and videos during a live transfer directly from the glasses. If you move your footage to a PC or external hard drive to free up phone storage, and later copy those exact original files back onto your phone (such as in the Download/Meta AI or DCIM folders), the Meta app completely ignores them. The in-app gallery remains empty, and there is no way to bring that media back into the app.
Why This Is a Problem:
Changing or resetting phones: When upgrading to a new phone or restoring a backup, you lose your entire capture history inside the Meta app.
Storage management: Smart glasses record a lot of high-resolution video, forcing users to offload files frequently. Once offloaded, you can never access or edit them through the Meta app again.
Proposed Solution:
Add a simple "Scan Local Folder" or "Import from Device" button in the Meta app settings or gallery.
Allow the app to scan the phone's internal storage, detect original Ray-Ban media files, and add them back to the in-app timeline.
Please consider adding this feature to make media management and device switching much easier for everyone!
