Question

Live streaming removed???

I bought the Ray-Ban Wayfarer Gen 2 specifically for live streaming on Instagram, which was advertised as a supported feature — and already available on Gen 1. But while I was waiting for the glasses to arrive (it took a few weeks because I had to get prescription lenses fitted), I found out that Meta silently removed all live streaming features!

Seriously? How is that even possible??

And to make things worse, I can’t even return them because I had prescription lenses installed and requested an invoice (where I live, you can’t return items if you ask for an invoice).

Is there any hope that the feature will be restored, or is there some kind of workaround? Otherwise, I honestly wonder what the point is of having Meta glasses that can only record short vertical clips of up to 3 minutes.

I have the same question... Switch from Gen 1 to Gen 2 and I'm really surprised about the removal of this feature.  What's maybe even more surprising Is that there doesn't seem to be any response to this question here on this forum. Does anybody know if that feature will be added back?

They removed it because many people were making nonsense while streaming. I think some gen 1 glasses are still capable of streaming (us only).

It's unlikely that it will be coming back until people stop violating terms.
