Maximum subscriber ($100/month) locked out since Oct 16, stuck on Connecting, no fix and no response. Collecting every affected account in one thread
I am a paying Muse Maximum subscriber ($100 a month). Since Friday, October 16, 2026, my account has been stuck on "Connecting..." and I cannot get in at all. No chats, no files, no artifacts, no access to months of work. The subscription is still charging.
This is account specific, and I can prove it the same way everyone else here has. Other accounts work fine on the same phone, the same browser, and the same network. Only this account fails. I have tried reinstalling, clearing cache, different devices, different networks, and waiting. I have reported it inside the app. I have posted about it publicly and tagged the Muse team directly. Five days later: no fix, no timeline, no case number, nothing.
A note on why this is posted here. We know this forum is a community space for AI Glasses, that Meta Support does not read it, and that nobody here has account access. It is not the right place for this. It is also the only place. Muse gives locked out subscribers nowhere else to go: support is inside the app that will not open, there is no status page, no support email, no phone number, and the reconnect form returns a 403 error. When a company leaves its paying customers no door at all, the customers write on the wall. This thread is the wall.
I am posting this because my thread is not the first one here. It is not even the tenth. This board already documents the same failure, over and over, and nobody from Meta has answered any of it:
Sept 26: SairamChetla disconnected from Muse after a security prompt, while Instagram and the rest of the Meta account kept working.
Sept 28: a post reporting many accounts stuck on connecting.
Sept 29: dantelargentino, a paying Power subscriber, disconnected. The reconnect ticket form failed with an HTTP 403 error every single time. Five error reports sent. No response.
Oct 5: timramey3 stuck in a disconnected loop after a password reset, Bug ID 1102808512458378, Meta Security Checkup fully cleared, still disconnected.
Oct 13: a user disconnected since Oct 13, lockout tickets unanswered. The reply in that thread points out this forum has no Meta moderators and no Meta community managers reading it.
Oct 13: a second user whose Meta account was suspended and then reactivated by Meta the same day. Muse stayed disconnected anyway. Multiple tickets, no confirmation email, no case number.
Oct 14, evening: a wave of simultaneous disconnections, with matching reports filling threads here and on Reddit the same night.
Oct 16: a user stuck on "Connecting..." indefinitely while a second account worked on the same computer and network. The console showed a 403 on the Stripe checkout endpoint, the agent data export failing, and 429 errors on monitoring. A responder confirmed this forum is an AI Glasses community space where Meta Support has no account access.
Oct 17: ZeeThirtyThree, Meta account locked Oct 14, unlock completed on every surface, Muse still disconnected. In-app report submitted Oct 17. No reinstatement.
Oct 19: a lockout guide checked all of these threads. No Meta employee had replied in any of them. Not one poster had written that they got access back. There is still no help page that even names this screen.
Every one of these accounts fails the same way, on every device, while other accounts work. That pattern points at account side session state on Meta's backend, not at anything on our phones. No local fix can repair a server side problem, and five days of reinstalling has proved that.
Support, as designed, cannot help either. Reporting lives inside the app that will not open. The data export lives inside the account that will not load, so the one way to get your own work out is locked inside the failure itself. Subscriptions bought through the App Store get sent to Apple for refunds, for a service Apple does not run.
Here is what affected subscribers are asking for. None of it is unusual. Claude, Gemini, and Cursor all do every one of these:
1. A public acknowledgment that paying accounts are locked out, and a status page where users can see it.
2. A fix, or a server side recovery path that resets a stuck account session so users can get back in.
3. Refunds from Meta for paid time subscribers could not use, instead of sending everyone to Apple.
4. A data export that works from outside a dead account.
If you are affected, reply here with your subscription tier, the date you were locked out, what you have tried, how many reports you have sent, and whether anyone from Meta has ever answered you. One thread, one public record, in Meta's own forum, that nobody can later say they did not see.
This story has already gone out to 78 news outlets, reporters are asking questions about it, and we have notified the FTC. The record being built there is the same one in this thread. Meta can end this any time with a fix and a statement. Until then, the silence is the story.
