Meta Account locked after security update – Facebook & Instagram stuck in 2FA loop, selfie verification fails

Hello Meta Support Team (@MetaStoreHelp),

I urgently need assistance recovering my personal Meta Account.

On October 27, 2026, I received an email confirming that my Meta Account had been updated to work across Meta apps and devices. A few hours later, Meta locked my account due to suspected unusual activity.

I personally followed Meta's security instructions and changed my password, but I am still locked out.

Current situation:

• Both Facebook and Instagram are asking for a six-digit authenticator app code that I cannot access.

• I still have full control of my registered email address and phone number.

• I have checked my iPhone for saved authentication codes, but found none.

• Desktop recovery keeps redirecting me into the same authentication loop.

• Video selfie verification on iPhone completes recording but fails during processing/uploading.

• I have not received any email confirming that my selfie verification was submitted.

I previously used Oculus/Meta VR hardware and recently used Meta AI glasses with iPhone. I can still access this community forum, but not my primary Facebook or Instagram account.

I am requesting assistance from Meta Support to escalate my case for manual account ownership verification and recovery of the inaccessible 2FA method.
