META AI glasses don't work - buyer beware

I thought the Meta AI glasses would be a game changer but they stopped working literally on day 35. Attempts to get the ray-ban customer service to troubleshoot and fix the glasses has resulted in me being accused of tampering with the LED (no idea how to do this) - and bricking the glasses. Worst decision. Worst customer service. Buyer beware. Maybe wait a few years for Meta to smooth these things out.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for contacting Ray-Ban Warranty. Your service request has been closed.

    NOTES:

    - Meta has identified that the camera on your device has been disabled because the system detected a possible issue with the capture LED — the white light on the front of your glasses that signals when a photo or video is being taken.
The capture LED is an important privacy feature, and if it’s been physically modified or intentionally damaged, the camera is automatically disabled to protect the people around you. Modifying the LED is a violation of Meta’s Term of Service. For this reason, this is not a manufacturing fault, and we would like to reassure you that all other features on your glasses — including Hey Meta, audio, and calls — will continue to work normally.

In case you have shipped your damaged product, we will send it back to you since we can not proceed with the evaluation.

I guess I could upload a photo of my glasses - but as they have not been tampered with (contrary to what RayBan thinks) - any stock photo of the gen 2 wayfarer glasses should suffice.

Uh, so much for trying to convince people you didn't tamper with them. Reverse image searching is a thing.
