Oakley Vanguard don’t connect to Strava and Garmin

I see this is a very well known topic , outstanding for at least the last two months and apparently not solved yet : for the cost and the brand reputation this experience is just unacceptable and deeply amateurish

I kindly ask Meta’s brains to provide us with an official statement and help in addressing this annoying problem

when I try to connect Meta AI app to either Garmin or Strava the process get stuck in a blank page

I posted several comments in other threads , I tried to contact meta customer support (but I Learned that can only manage issue for products purchased at the Meta Store…and routed me to Oakley customer support…this is incredible), so far no reaction (must be for the Xmas break …I hope)

Please, I kindly ask if someone from the community managed to solve this or if Meta can tell how to do (please not like I read somewhere “to unpair and pair again the glasses: it doesn’t work with me)

Managed to fix this after trying everything by enabling a VPN set to US location and retrying. Worked straight away. No idea why!

Thanks so much! I did the same and it worked also with me !  Unbelievable that neither Meta nor Garmin or Strava made this explicit. Anyway it seems fixed now ! Thanks

    Hi

any update please? I can’t connect Amazon music, Garmin or Strava.  I don’t have or want a VPN and have deleted app. Reset glasses and unpaired.

    thanks

Thanks. I don’t really want the expense of something else like a VPN it should work in the UK and even comes with a 12 mo th Strava sub

You just need a vpn to allow to connect Meta AI to Strava and Garmin…once the accounts are connected you don’t need VPN anymore

I am located in Australia. I too was trying to connect my Oakley Vanguard Glasses (well more specifically the Vanguard device in the Meta App), to Garmin and Strava.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone. when I tried to connect to Garmin or Strava, I can see the text saying, amongst other info, press Yes to allow BUT could not scroll down to the YES button at the bottom of the page. As per everyone else I tried to connect to a VPN, this didn't work for me.

I eventually found that going into my phone settings clicking Display then selecting SCREEN ZOOM and sliding the slider all the way to - (left), allowed me to see just the top of the yes button. pressed the button and 'hey presto' i was connected and followed the remaining prompts.

i second everyone's comment about the price of the glasses, premium product and am really disappointed that Oakley hasnt fully tested its equipment with all phones.

    I hope this helps

Can anybody explain the exact steps? I did download the VPN and set to US. Uninstalled the meta ai ap then reinstall and repair and still can't see the Garmin or Strava in Connections.
