Oakley Vanguards not connecting to Garmin or Strava - tell me why.
Could someone from Meta please provide an official answer rather than another troubleshooting checklist?
I purchased the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses specifically because Garmin and Strava integration was advertised as a key feature.
I’ve already:
- Updated the Meta AI app.
- Updated the glasses to the latest firmware.
- Reset and re-paired the glasses.
- Tried setup on both an iPhone and an iPad.
- Tested in both Australia and New Zealand.
The issue is that Strava does not appear under App Connections, and I’ve since discovered that the Meta AI Garmin Connect IQ app is not available in New Zealand, making it impossible to complete the advertised Garmin integration.
At this point, this no longer appears to be a troubleshooting issue.
Could a Meta representative please answer the following:
- Is Garmin and Strava integration officially supported on Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses in New Zealand and Australia?
- If it is supported, why are the required services and apps unavailable, and what is the official solution?
- If it is not currently supported, why is this limitation not clearly disclosed when these features are advertised?
I’m not looking for another list of troubleshooting steps. I’m asking for an official statement from Meta on whether these features are currently supported in my region.
