Play music while recording video

I've got a pair of the Oakley HSTNs - love the glasses but can't understand why my music stops playing when I start recording video. To be clear - I know this is intentional but it is a severely limiting factor as I want to record while I'm in the zone doing something, and the sudden silence absolutely kills the vibe every time. Are there any workarounds to this/would really like this changed. Also if anyone knows why this happens I'd appreciate it
