Question

The speakers on Meta Glasses 2 are not working – I know the cause

Hi, after not using my Meta Ray-ban 2 Wayfarer 0298 for a while, I took them out of their case and updated the firmware. The speakers stopped working. I tried everything: restarting, hard reset, disconnecting, restarting my phone, re-pairing, but the glasses still behaved abnormally and occasionally the message "Speakers not working" popped up in the app. Then, by coincidence and a bit out of desperation, I restarted the glasses by holding down the shutter button while turning on the glasses and releasing the shutter button when the LED turned red. I left the glasses on the table and heard "battery ninety percent." I left the glasses on the table and tried to start Spotify. Suddenly, the glasses started playing. I assume that the new firmware is faulty and that the problem occurs when the user puts the glasses on their head. Is it realistic that someone will look into this? I had custom optical lenses made for the glasses for $500.

Thank you for your help and response

I would like to add that if I put the glasses on my head, the sound stutters and then stops playing. If I put them back on the table, the glasses start playing again. The problem is therefore the firmware, which responds poorly to the activation of the wear sensors.

I apologize, but is there any active support available? Is there anyone who could assist me and resolve this issue?

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the report. That's very interesting. Do you have the option "stop when taken off" enabled?

I hope some Meta staff will read your post. Otherwise I recommend shaking your phone in the Meta AI-App and describe everything detailed and submit the logs data.

Have a nice rest of your week:)

Is there really no one at Meta who can help me solve problems with my glasses?

I can't solve this through the Meta website because I didn't buy them directly from Meta, and you refer me to the seller. The seller refers me to Meta. So what should I do?

Still no response from Meta support. I don't know how this company can operate. So I'm going to contact the seller to file a complaint and return the glasses.

First, fully charge your glasses, then let them rest for half an hour or an hour, thirdly, if possible, roll back to the previous firmware version, turning the device off and on will solve the problem, and if not, let me know what the immediate problem is...। zelenka.michael

Hi,

I live in France and I've the same issue than zelenka.michael.

After the last update of the firmware, my left speaker doesn't work anymore. I've already tried to restore the firmware with the hard reset process. Unfortunately, although the glasses have been restored, it doesn't work, I've still the same issue.

My seller tell me I've to send my Oakley HSTN to repare them.

The customer's service of Oakley tell me I've to find a solution with my seller.

I think it's a software issue, my glasses are new and always used with caution. Someone here has been able to find a solution without the after-sales service?

Thx for your share and help.
