Meta Avatars SDK - hide/disable hands

Hello,

I am currently using a framework for VR interaction that gives me hands that can interract with a lot of objects. After i initialized the avatar i noticed it comes it its own hands that are on top of the current hands which have a lot of physics in them. I woulld like to disable the mesh rendering of the hands so i can use my own hands.

I see there is one big mesh that is being created and i have no access to the hands, is there an option i can use to disable the hands rendering?

Kind regards,

Alexandru Buzdugan

You can play with opacity and the rest of visuals in Inspector. Hope that helps.

    Hi Alexandru,

This post is a bit old but I currently running on the same issue where I would like to plug my own hand logic to the meta avatar. Please have you find a workaround to this issue?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

I'm working on a similar issue. The answer might reside in custom hand poses. Putting em permanently at scale 0 or wrist offset far away. I didn't make it work yet but I'll update this post once I do.

Thanks for updating if your guys find a solution.
