Meta link does not work with Unity 6

Helllo, normally on unity 5 (2022 LTS) I always used Meta Link during development (pressing Play the application immediately started on the Meta Quest 3 connected via USB). On Unity 6 pressing the play button is simply ignored, and I am forced to waste a lot of time with the Build and Run iterations. I followed step by step the (still usual and fairly standard) instructions on the page https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/unity-tutorial-hello-vr. Nothing to do, pressing Play has no effect. Obviously Meta Link works perfectly with other apps (Google Earth VR, Touchdesigner etc.). Any help?

Edit: Link works only if I use al older version of the Meta XR packages: 66.0. But it does not show the hands even if it tracks them (everything is if you Build and Run on the device)

mm... strange. No problem here on Unity 6000.0.31f

we had same issue with latest link in Unity 2022.3. LTS.

Switching to PTC of Link resolved the issue, although there are other things unstable now, as this is a beta channel.

I find it fascinating how often Link breaks and how Link shows different bugs each time I start Unity in Play mode, from passthrough not rendering correctly, being warped, being replaced by psychedelic patterns, hand tracking stops working, etc. This makes development for this platform very, very difficult.

Have not tried Unity 6 yet, as there's a bug which gives 20% worse performance on Quest with Render Graph being enabled.

I saw in the issue that we reported what it should be fixed by next week with version 6000.0.46, though.

I am having the same issue, no errors of the headset not being connected just the play button turning blue and noting happening.

Same here. After the last update 76.1021 link completely stopped working for me—even the Dev. Hub can't connect properly. Before the only problem was no hands in Unity 6, now it can't even perform a build and run because I get an error at the end.

I've flagged this one to the team and we're taking a look!

any updates on this? On PTC it used to work like 2 weeks ago, since a few days it only works maybe 1 out of 5 times; the other 4 times Link just crashes whenever I enter Unity play mode....

I wonder why there is not more traction to this, developing for Quest platform has become mostly impossible for us.
