Oculus screen black, Virtual Reality Supported

Hi,

My Oculus rift screen is just completely black whenever I play a game inside Unity or build it and start it afterwards.

I have Unity version 5.2.3f1 and Oculus Runtime V 0.8.0.0-beta, I check the "Virtual Reality Supported" under Project Settings -> Player.

I have no problem playing games on the Oculus, it's being detected and all that stuff.
I have Nvidia GTX 780 with the latest drivers installed, 359.00.

Any idea what's wrong? I have searched this forum and the Internet for how to solve this but came up short.

Thanks in advance!

    I have same problem.

Rift DK2 shows nothing in Unity editor or an executable file.

Demo scene in Oculus Configration Untility works well.

    Unity version : 5.2.3f1
    Oculus Runtime : V 0.7.0.0
Video card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

Does it work if the DK2 is in front of the tracking camera when you press PLAY?

I just noticed this happening for me to.

Hi we have the same problem.

Originally with Unity 5.1.x and Oculus Runtime 0.6.0.1 everything was ok.

Now with Unity 5.1.4 and 5.2.3 and Runtime 0.8 with NVIDIA 590.00 we have the black flickers, left or right eye. We are on GT 770. Sometimes running the app works flawless for some time. Mostly it is either completely broken or ok.

Similar on different machines with GT 970.

Is this known or do we have to officially report it as bug?

That sounds right. Can you share output_log.txt from the _Data folder of a standalone after it fails to initialize VR? It sounds like something might be misconfigured inside Unity. If you make a new project and enable VR support, does it render to the Rift then?

Unity 5.2.3f1 requires Oculus Runtime 0.8.0 or higher.

    That isn't a valid driver version. Can you try http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverRe ... 6079/en-us ?

Sorry I wrote from mobile and messed up several things.
Meant 359.00, but the problem is not a black screen.

Instead I am having the flickering on one eye like described here.

I will move my case to there for better reference.

Thank you for your reply, vrdaveb.

I update Oculus Runtime. Then, Unity renders to the Rift.
