OVRInput.GetDown not working on Touch controllers in unity?

I am having a hard time getting the buttons to work reliably on the oculus touch controllers in unity.

If I use if OVRInput.GetDown it never seems to work, but using OVRInput.Get works all the time?

I wasn't sure if it was something to do with OVRInput.Update (); and I've tried adding it to 1 script and all the scripts that detect input but both ways give the same results, .GetDown will not work, but .Get will?

Is there a step I'm missing?

    Do if (OVRInput.GetDown(OVRInput.Button.Two)){ ... } for example and don t forget to remove OVRInput.Update() !!!

    thanks hoping oculus will improve its documentation (also code may be more documented in my humble opinion)

    Hello everybody, if you want to make simple input button integration, i find a solution for using OVRInput; can't find. Normally name is Oculus Integration (Deprecated) you can find in here: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/integration/oculus-integration-deprecated-82022

    But package names are changed to :

    Meta XR All-in-One SDK
    https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/integration/meta-xr-all-in-one-sdk-269657

    Meta XR Interaction SDK OVR Samples
    https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/integration/meta-xr-interaction-sdk-ovr-samples-268521

    install these and inputs work well.

    for example :

    using static OVRInput;

    if (OVRInput.GetDown(OVRInput.Button.One))
    {
           Shoot();
    }
