Unity build freezes while game is running in the editor

I am using Unity 5.3.4p1, Oculus runtime 1.3, OVR plugin 1.3 (patched into Unity).

The problem is that when I run the game in the unity editor, it runs fine, but when I then try to open a build, it freezes at the splash screen. This is a problem for me because I am trying to make an oculus game that is networked, so I need to run two clients at the same time to test it.

If I run the build alone, it works. Also, if I run the build first, then run in the editor simultaneously, it actually does work (two instances are running). It just doesn't work the other way around (running in editor, then opening the build).

I'm also wondering if maybe I should upgrade to Unity 5.3.4p2? It was just released, maybe it will contain some fixes?
Thanks.

This ought to work. Can you provide output_log.txt from the built game? It would also help to grab a minidump while it's hung (CTRL+Shift+Esc to show Task Manager > right-click app process > Create Dump). Also make sure you don't have the Health & Safety Warning or an update pending in Home. You should actually see the app and not Home in the headset.
