@aussieburgerVR, unforunately you are right and currently UE4.13 Preview 2 isn't working with GearVR. I've been testing from building it from UE4 source code. UE4.13 Preview 2 does not have our changes that enables the platform to work for Gear VR.
Epic has the changes merged so it'll soon show up on their UE4 github. Alternatively, it's already out on our UE4 github.
Thanks brian_jew for checking on that - do you know if it will still make the 4.13 binary release though?
Additionally it would be great to get some answers on the following:
2. When can we expect the Oculus Platform features on the same link to get blueprint support? There are a large number of blueprint developers/game designers that would love to use these features to make better gearvr games. Currently UE4 and android without the Oculus platform only supports local wifi in blueprints (we have that working for our new game idea and it works great) - however we would love to offer full online support via these Oculus Platform features! :)
Do you know by chance if 4.13 pre3 (or 4.13 release at least) will have Platform SDK working with Gear VR ? (not the github version, but the one Epic releases through launcher)

I'm working with Epic and in addition to their github, Epic has merged it to 4.13.1
I just asked Sam Deiter from Epic about Oculus OSS for Gear VR in 4.13 release and he said it's not in there :/ I also looked at Epic's github and I don't see any OSS commits there.
I am really lost on this one... Is it safe to assume Epic is going to include it maybe with 4.14 ? (after all, perhaps I should just build UE4 from Oculus' github)
>I also managed to install the platform plugin (as an engine plugin rather than project). However, the only Blueprint node exposed is entitlement check. Is this correct (and I didn't install something wrong)?
That is correct. Everything else that is exposed through the blueprint is through UE4's standard Online blueprints.
Which node should I use to do entitlement check, brian_jew?

I checked Epic's github repro today and it looks like 4.13 has the changes merged over 14 days ago: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/tree/4.13/Engine/Plugins/Online/OnlineSubsystemOculus
Epic should be including it with 4.14 as well. In the future, we have decided that Oculus release notes for UE4 will be only for our github releases and Epic will have their own releases notes when they merge over our changes. That should cut down on the miscommunication where we said something is released, but as it turns out isn't in Epic's repro yet.
