Since you can get the entire source code for the repository for an up-front cost of only $20, making the forum here restricted kind of feels silly.

I agree about opening this UE4 section up. Unity Pro is required and that one is open. Is there something on Epics side holding it from being available?

+! for being open

I don't have a license yet, but I read the UE4 forums everyday. They are completely open: https://forums.unrealengine.com/forum.php

If any of you are looking for Rift help in UE4, they have a forum for that: https://forums.unrealengine.com/forumdisplay.php?27-VR-Development

So the $19 subscription makes us all licensees does it? :P

Hi all,

Just started working with this as well, its awesome. Rift support (stereoscopic output) so far seems to be available automatically. All demos I've tried can be enabled for the rift by opening the command prompt when playing through a standalone window and running the command "stereo on" (without quotes). works amazingly! Cannot wait for 4.1 and the Elemental demo!!!

Yeah Rift support is pretty good but I got the feeling we have to wait for the next integration to also use the 'oculus profiles'

btw for me the only thing I need to do is 'alt tab' to fullscreen and when my Rift is connected it works.

The UE4 subforum is empty and is being phased out. Please go here to discuss VR with the Unreal Engine:
