Hidden offset with camera reset?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to reset the default player camera view and the incoming HMD tracker data to re-orient and position to how I want it. (UE4.8)

I seem to sometimes be able to do it but sometimes there seem to be an orientation offset.
Could it be that when I have changed the view by hand using the mouse, that is where this 'hidden' offset value is coming from?

Is there a way for 'Reset Orientation and Position' to take this into account? I suppose I should be able to feed that back into the functions 'Yaw' value. But the problem is I don't know where to read/get this 'mouse yaw offset' value.

Would anyone know?

Cheers
Fred

It may be an offset saved in your profile. Go to the Advanced section of the Oculus Config Util and press "Reset Tracking Center" while wearing the headset and facing forward.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion!
I think that must be new for a later SDK version? I'm still on 0.6 and don't want to upgrade just yet as I have old setups I need to be able to check. Soon I will move up though.

It seems to work when I don't touch the mouse so I'm thinking maybe it was that and I just need to find if the mouse added Yaw offset is stored anywhere, or just use a better way of getting that vector. Should be ok.

    Cheers

With the old SDK you can just delete the profile and create a new one and it should reset.
