Quick question on pre purchase of Oculus

Good day!  
I work in UE4 and am going to be developing some working ueassets and wish to know which of the Oculus would be good for developing things in.  I know the RiftS hooks up to the pc, which is fine.  I know the Oculus Quest can operate by itself, however is there an option to plug it in also or do you all suggest to just get the RiftQuest?

    Rite now your only option is a rift s or cv1 (used) but the quest should be capable as a pc devkit once the link cable/software update becomes available.
    Just keep in mind that no details have been released about how the quest would perform when used like this so if you can wait a bit then id suggest seeing how that will play out before making a decision
