Shadows in left eye, not in right?

Ok admittedly I have not read the Unreal integration manual, shame on me. I did a quick search for 'shadow' and found none.

What I did was dive in with the Citadel, sure, awesome.

Then I went into the FoliageMap in Showcases. Fly, then get over to the foresty area. Something's not quite right. Ah, there are directional-light dynamic shadows from foliage, but only in the left eye. The right eye does have 'cloud' shadows, but no foliage shadows that I could tell.

Is this a known issue, have a work-around?

    Yes, this is a known issue. I don't know of a work-around, but we are investigating the problem now.

    Here's a workaround:

    Disable "whole scene" shadows in UDKSystemSettings.ini:

    bAllowWholeSceneDominantShadows=False

    This gives better results than disabling all dynamic shadows.

    We're encountering this in Unity, too. Do you know of a Unity-specific fix?

    This is the UDK forum. Totally different things. You should make a post in the Unity section.

    I have went ahead and made you a full member, so you can start a thread if you like. Thanks.

    Shadows issue is definitely fixed, just not published yet.
    You can download a preliminary fix from here:
    32-bit UDK.exe: https://static.oculus.com/sdk-downloads/udk_32bit_fix_no_simplygon.zip
    64-bit UDK.exe: https://static.oculus.com/sdk-downloads/udk_64bit_fix_no_simplygon.zip

    Note, these files are compiled without Simplygon, and they are not digitally signed (therefore, will not be included into installation package by UnSetup.exe). But could be good enough to try.
